Here is Peter with the truck & car/trailer on the morning we started out for the 2,000 mile journey (does he look ready? - oh, yeah!)
And then here is the co-pilot, map reader, naviagtor, etc.................. -let's hit the road!!
Peter the driver in west Texas - does it look different than western New York?
....and here's the other driver (we alternated about every three hours - stopped to fuel up the truck and trade drivers- worked pretty well)
There were some large areas of west Texas that had numerous electric generating windmills - these are a few - and yes, wind to accompany the windmills!

The beginning of the BIG MOVE journey and ......

The first photo is of the waters around JFK airport , runway visible, as I leave to head to Buffalo to join Peter for the drive to El Paso. The next photo is of windmills in NY state enroute to Buffalo. Then we see some farms in western NY state. The following pic is of the northern Buffalo area with the Niagara Falls area in the background.

This is the first posting of the new blog of Brian & Myra - much thanks to the help of Sally.
I have the good fortune of being here in Dallas with Sally & Joe (Peter and I having driven from Buffalo in two days drive with their moving truck ) and was given the asistance to help get this setup from Sally. Camille had offered to help us set one up previously - sorry we didn't take her up on the earlier offer. Note re: the picture --- I wanted to put a picture that had Myra and I and this is the one we found on Sally's computer here in Dallas (it's from thanksgiving, 2006 near the Dallas Temple!)
Myra is doing well at home, with irrigating on Sat. with Megan, Simon & Rachel coming over to assist as well as her usual busy Sunday duties at church - much thanks to her.
Peter & I have survived (so far ) our trip, having driven from about 8am on Sat (from Buffalo) arriving in Memphis Tenn about midnite that same day. Sunday we arose, ate and attended Sac. mtg. in a nice ward in Memphis! --then we took off and headed for Dallas where we are at the present time. Sally & Joe shared a marvelous dinner with us - it was wonderful!
Tomorrow we head for our final destination, El Paso! and should arrive there late aft. or early eve.
Love to all of you from Dallas, ( Brian/Dad)(&Peter)
PS we were able to speak to family by phone nearly all the way along our journey
